Presumably, the genes for the Default Dog’s appearance — yellow-brown relatively short coat, pointed snout, upright ears — are dominant, while most breeds’ genes for looks are more recessive.
We seem to see something similar in people who are part white and part Australian Aborigine: the white appearance is more dominant.
Are there other examples of dominant and recessive genes in human looks?
