So Tuesday night the Dominicans of the adjacent Dyckman neighborhood were out patrolling, armed with baseball bats, driving off any African-Americans they spotted.

This led to many complaints on Twitter by American blacks and Haitians that Dominicans won’t acknowledge they are black:
