Patriotic Immigration Reform Is In The Balance!
Peter Brimelow writes (4/19/2012): Many thanks to those loyal VDARE.com readers who are rallying around to support our fundraising appeal. Tonight, I had dinner with one of the Inside-The-Beltway immigration patriots whom I respect. This is what I learned:
Of all the points my friend made, this amazes me the most. Can’t Beltway Republicans count? Don’t they realize Hispanics are ONLY EIGHT PERCENT OF THE ELECTORATE—and that anyway. 47 % OF ARIZONA HISPANICS SUPPORTED ARIZONA’S ANTI-ILLEGAL PROP 200?? I had begun to assume this 40% nonsense was just a lie—that GOP leaders merely wanted an excuse to deliver to the Cheap Labor Lobby and to promote themselves into the Conservatism Inc K Street Lobbying complex that Tim Carney has brilliantly described (K Street and Tea Party again fight for soul of GOP, Washington Examiner, April 18 , 2012) But now my friend assures me what we see is sincere, 100%, copper-bottomed, stupidity. Beltway Republicans really don’t understand elementary arithmetic. My conclusion: there’s something REALLY ODD about the Washington DC Inside-The-Beltway world. Maybe DC is hothouse. Or maybe it’s a madhouse. But the bottom line: THE ONLY WAY to get to patriotic immigration reform will be through Outside-The-Beltway grass roots pressure.

Hispandering, of course, will simply dishearten and discourage patriotic voters—just as John McCain’s disastrous, consultant-heavy campaign did in 2008. This innumerate, nation-breaking folly must be exposed. But the Establishment Right, Republican poodles, won’t do it. That is why you must help VDARE.com—NOW! No doubt there are politicians and pundits stupid and innumerate enough not to realize that, because the Hispanic vote is just above a tenth of the white a.k.a. American vote, even massive movements among Hispanic voters would be swamped by quite small movements among whites voters. The Republican “leadership” D.C. is scared of the Treason Lobby and of the MSM. All they want to do is enjoy the perquisites of office. Limousines! Lobbying careers! Loot! NEVERTHELESS, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE PATRIOTIC IMMIGRATION REFORM CAUSE IS LOST. FAR FROM IT. It just means that appropriate tactics have to be employed. We saw that, in the GOP Presidential race, every one of the most durable GOP contenders
They were frightened of grass roots Americans! And the contenders saw the awful fate of Texas Governor Rick Perry—destroyed because he insulted immigration patriots in the debates. One thing only has worked to influence immigration policy favorably in recent years: Firestorms of rage from Flyover Country. At VDARE.com, we fuel those firestorms. Read the comment threads on any relevant MSM article—for instance, those dealing with the H1-B scandal. Americans are incensed—and informed.
